Claudio-Mazzi-Lighter-2Claudio Mazzi lives and works in Modena, where he began his career as an airbrush artist in 1985, after attaining the title of “Maestro d’arte” in graphic design and photography.

Claudio paints objects for private collectors and major companies in different sectors; he founded the Atelier Kreo with Lorena Straffi, and is currently the official artist for Ducati Motor, for whom he paints a precious collection of fuel tanks and other objects.
Claudio is also known for many illustrations carried out for Maserati cars (calendars and posters), Colnago/Ferrari cycles (decorated carbon frames dedicated to Ferrari), Malaguti scooters (a collection of 5000 scooters), Citroen Italia (a wide range of decorated Berlingos), Piaggio (personalized pens), Shell (personalized fuel tanks), Visconti pens (several ranges of Claudio-Mazzi-Lighter-3collectors' pens).

Among his favourite productions are paintings carried out on precious collectors' weapons and on a range of Harley Davidsons, for which he received many prizes, as well as newspaper and television coverage.
Not to be forgotten are the famous personalities who have used objects painted by Claudio, from Loris Capirossi to the President of Guatemala, to the motorcyclists Troy Corser and Carl Fogarty.
However, Claudio's one true passion are Zippo lighters, a mini canvas for all his enthusiasm and obsessive search for detail, key features that characterize...ZIPPO BY MAZZI!!!

The Mazzi Roseart Table Lighter

It was the Zippo/Case International Swap Meet 2000. While browsing the collector’s tables, Ralph stumbled across Claudio Mazzi hard at work on a masterpiece. Intrigued by his artwork, Ralph asked Claudio if he would do something on a Roseart Table lighter for him. Claudio said let me take a look at the surface of the table lighter. Ralph ran down to Roseart and got a 1959 3 ½” Fibron Table lighter to show Claudio. He agreed to paint a portrait of Ralph and Judy on the table lighter and took it back to Italy with him. A few months later, Ralph received in the mail the completed Roseart with the portrait.

“We are thrilled to have this Claudio Mazzi original in our possession.” said Ralph. He hopes to have Claudio do additional Roseart’s in the future. Since that time we have obtained a number of Claudio’s Zippo lighters to add to the collection.

Thank you Claudio! We are very proud of our association with the Mazzi name.

by Kelly Platko 25. January 2010 20:14

Congratulations to David Erich from St. Marys PA

Roseart-Turkey-Lighter-Winner

Dave Erich is a new Roseart customer who is very happy with his purchase of the turkey lighter. He is a quadriplegic, and this year was able to take his first long beard spring gobbler.

Dear Roseart,

Here is a picture of me and my brother Chris with the turkey I got this year. We were hunting out of a ground blind. The turkey weighed 18lbs., had an 8" beard and 3/4" spurs.

Congratulations Dave!
